Itinerary

Day 1ISLAMABAD

Arrival at Islamabad International Air Terminal. The Alpine Trekkers and Tour Company representative will be there to greet the group and for transferring to hotel Blue Sky. Evening free to explore the local markets and for the dinner move to Munal Restaurant also giving bird eye view of Islamabad. Overnight in hotel.

Day 2HUNZA

After breakfast departure to Air Port for the flight to Gilgit . This flight passes through one of the world most spectacular mountain scenery especially the breath taking views of Himalaya, Karakoram and Hindukush mountain ranges . The Nanga Parbat the ninth highest mountain in the World has a spectacular view . Arrival at Gilgit and transfer to PARADO jeep to travel to Hunza in next two hours and 83 kms distance. Transfer to hotel Ambassador or similar. Evening free to explore the Altit and Baltit forts, the structure of Baltit Fort was influenced by Ladakhi and Tibetan architecture , with some resemblance to the Potala Palace in Lhasa. Karimabad Hunza bazzar known for handicrafts and jewellery shops and always buy some stuff to come again in these beautiful mountains. Overnight in hotel.

Day 3HOPPER CAMPING. ( Barpu Giram )

Today we will start after the breakfast in the hotel and get dropped at start of the trek. With little walk the first encounter is with Baulter Glacier and will take half an hour to negotiate this 500 meters glacier. Hiking for another an hour Bharpu Glacier will be standing in way much bigger than the previous one and takes another two hours to negotiate it. Today the camp will be in Mulharai valley which is 26 kms long near shepherd huts. You can visit these shepherds and see how yogurt and butter are prepared from yaks milk in traditional way. Try take bath in fresh stream water or soak your feet into this ice cold water coming directly from the glacier. Overnight in camp.

Day 4BERICHO KOR

Beakfast in the camp and then move to Bericho Kor ( 3300 meters ) a bolder ridge almost with steep climbing .Today our camp is at Bericho Kor and from here the trek lead to Rush Lake ( 3494 meters ).

Day 5CHIDEN HARAI

Today our breakfast will be salty tea and traditional thick chapatti . The trek start by a steep climb and requires balance on the trek for breathing . The trail goes in zigzag upto almost 700 meters . This trek leads to the crest of the ridge which separates Barpu Glacier from Hisper Glacier to the North. Keep following this ridge line but little steep for another 350 meters to reach Chiden Harai camp site . The view of the peaks from this location over the Barpu Glacier is superb. Overnight in camp.

Day 6RUSH LAKE

After breakfast we leave for Rush Lake which has stunning views and mesmerizing effects. This is the world highest alpine lake whose water shines only for three months at 4694 meters. One can see during this trekking Miar Peak 6824 meters, Spantick 7027 meters, Malubiting peak 7458 meters, Ultar Sar peak 7388 meters and Phuparash peak 6574 meters from here. On clear days one can see World highest peaks including K 2 and Broad Peak toward east. After photo session and staying there for two hours fall back to Chiden Harai camp and feast of baryani will be served.

Day 7KARIMABAD

Today after breakfast will move back Bericho Kor and on ward to Hopper where jeep will be waiting to take us to Karimabad for overnight stay in hotel.

Day 8GILGIT

After breakfast we will move to Gilgit and transfer to hotel . Evening free to explore the market for dry fruits and handicrafts. Overnight in hotel.

Day 9ISLAMABAD

We will fly back to Islamabad and in case of inclement weather drive back via Karakoram Highway.

Day 10ISLAMABAD

Today evening transfer to Airport to fly back home. Bon Vovage
