3 Hours Before Flight Time
Arrive in Islamabad, where our amiable company representative will warmly welcome you at the airport and escort you to the hotel for a restful overnight stay. If your group arrives during the day, we’ll treat you to sightseeing in Islamabad and the captivating old city of Rawalpindi.
Departure from Hotel at 0800hrs and travel on most scenic Hazara Motorway till Thakot which is 3.5 hours’ drive. We will stopover here for tea and continue to Besham for another 1.5 hours which is located on Karakoram Highway and on its West is Swat Valley at a distance of 60 kilometers. Historically here Alexander fought one of his campaign in 326 BC and has been home of many Buddhist hermits monks dated from 4th to 9th century CE and Hindu community. The Chilas is another 200 kms away on Karakoram Highway via town of Dasu where two huge dams are under construction. On the bank of river Indus from Shatial to Hunza there are 50000 historic rock paintings done by different races of people in span of 5000 years. If time permits we would go to visit such paintings while stay in Chilas few minutes’ walk from Hotel. Overnight in Hotel
Departure for Chilas and in the way a short stop we will make at Nanga Parbat view point which is the ninth highest mountain of the World and also Known As Killer Mountain. This the biggest lump of stone on Earth in the Himalayan Mountain Range. The other point of interest is the junction point where three highest mountain ranges of the World meet namely Himalaya, Karakoram and Hindu Kush. A photo stop at World 21st highest Mount Rakaposi which is also known as color changing steepest mountain. Also see the thousands of years old Silk Route clinging to the mountain. Shepherds still use this route to go their pasture lands. A convergent boundary between Eurasian Plate and the Indian Plate can be seen near Chalt which is 58 kms from Gilgit from the road side. The Himalayan mountains range and Tibetan plateau have formed as a result of the collision which began 50 million years ago and continues till today by rise of one cm per year. Rakaposhi Mountain on the right which is 21st highest and is the steepest mountain of the planet which changes color with the sun light. Hunza was a former princely state for about 900 years and surrounded by four peaks above 7000 meters i.e., Rakaposhi, Diran, Golden and Ultar nowhere in the world. Departure for Nagar Valley and on ward to Hopper moving glacier after breakfast. The transport will be four by four Jeep / PRADO and it is one hour journey. The road run almost in the center like a dreamy stream with high punching mountains soar up on the sides includes Spantik 7027 meters, Bawalter , Rush Peak and Miar Peak. Few famous glaciers of the area include Geentur, Daranci, Mair, Barpu and Hoper. Abundance of fruits grow in these valleys especially apricots because of favorable climate and grass is lush and springy. Walk for ten minutes to observe the moving Galacier Hopper covered with black gravel. It is moving with a speed of 3 to 4 feet per day and a marked stone can indicate that. After hot cup of tea at this 8000 feet high Glacier we will move back to Hunza for lunch. Evening vist to eagle nest located at Duikar view point at a height of 10,000 feet connected by jeep able road. It is famous tourist resort where Sun set and Sun rise gives fantastic view. As the Sun set below the horizon, creating romantic shades of red and orange across the sky and we have a chance to breathe in and rejuvenate. The place has magnificent view of Golden Peak, Ultar Peak, Rakaposi Peak and countless other peaks. Move back to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Today we start back our journey on the same route and departure for Chilas at 0900hrs after breakfast. The same route will give a different view of landscapes and mountains as the direction of Sun has changed. We will stop for an hour in Gilgit to do shopping of some dry fruits and continue to Jaglot for lunch stop. Reach Chilas in the evening and transfer to hotel for overnight. Dinner in hotel.
